Ben C. Kaufmann helps the client make better daily financial decisions and, as a result, the client has more time and energy to save and invest for their future. The most important criteria for the client is to make sure that the financial planner is working for the client, and not for themselves. The planner has to be objective, and not be tied to any one product, service, or financial organization. Consulting a financial planner is one of the best decisions you can make for yourself. Everyone can be assisted by a planner! Many times the planner may be sought out for specific areas, such as purchasing a new home, retirement, planning for college education, death of the breadwinner, divorce, debt management, and so on. Others want a game plan on how to reach financial objectives. Whatever the monetary reasons may be, a knowledgeable and experienced financial planner can be of assistance.
I am an investment advisor representative and work with our clients on a fee basis. Much of our work involves the coordination of the financial goals that our clients may have with their accountants and attorneys, trust officers, if applicable, and other segmented financial institutions, such as their stockbroker and/or insurance agent.
Our work is to instill in our clients the ability to be smarter about their financial affairs. Our purpose is not to make them experts, but only to enlighten clients on the easiest methods of establishing a plan towards their financial goals. When they first come to us, many individuals are embarrassed by their lack of financial knowledge. Financial planning is a profession. We hold designations such as CFP (Certified Financial Planner), ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant), and Registered Investment Advisor, where the most important product is trust and knowledge. You, by not having knowledge of financial planning, should not be any more embarrassed than when you go to a physician and don't understand the medical problems or terminology, or talking to an engineer about a construction project. However, like anything else, the first step involves taking a positive action to correct the situation.
